Hi Stanley, can you tell us about your role and responsibilities as Divisional Manager?
My day-to-day responsibilities are varied and fast-paced. They include monitoring AdBlue tank levels, coordinating deliveries and collections, preparing quotations, and processing orders. I also spend a significant amount of time visiting customers to discuss existing product ranges and to introduce new solutions that may support their operational needs.
I work closely with internal teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively, helping to maintain the high standards of service Charles Tennant & Co (NI) Ltd is known for.
What do you like most about working at Charles Tennant & Co (NI) Ltd?
It is a great company to be part of and you are always made to feel part of it. There is a positive workplace culture and the management team’s ongoing focus on improving work-life balance and maintaining high health and safety standards is fantastic. It’s definitely a rewarding and professional environment to work in.
Do you have any advice for anyone who is starting out in the industry?
For anyone entering the industry, I believe the key to long-term success is to offer more than just a product. Building strong relationships, providing added value, and being willing to go the extra mile for customers are essential in establishing trust and delivering sustainable results.
If you could be in a different role for a day, what would you choose?
Hmm, that’s a tricky one, I would choose to be the Managing Director. I am curious about the day-to-day running of each division from a strategic perspective.
Is there anything your colleagues might not know about you? Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work, I am Vice President of the PAA UK & Ireland Arm Wrestling federation. I help run the Irish open and other Arm-Wrestling competitions in Ireland. I was British and Irish Novice champion in 2019 which kick started my journey into Professional Arm Wrestling. I have competed at the World Arm Wrestling championships 3 times bringing home Irelands first Bronze and Silver medals from France and a Silver from Malaysia. I also enjoy organising and taking part in grip competitions. I competed at the Arnold classic festival of sport in Ohio in 2025 and I currently hold the UK Gods of Grip title for u93kg males.
